The Los Angeles Kings look to put on a show for the Staples Center when the New York Islanders visit.
The New York Islanders proved to be too much at both ends of the ice in a 4-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center on Tuesday. Former Sharks netminder Thomas Greiss proved to be too much for his former team with a 34 save performance to lift New York to 8-5-3. Mikhail Grabovski and John Tavares scored early in the opening frame before Johnny Boychuk scored in the third with Tavares finding the empty net . The Sharks received goals from Joel Ward and Brent Burns but goalie Martin Jones was pulled with two goal allowed in the first 3:30 with Alex Stalock coming in and recording 21 stops in relief.
