NHL Daily Updates: Checking in on the Latest News, Daily Schedule and More
November 27, 2015
The NHL will be back with a vengeance today after taking the day off on Thanksgiving. We’ve got a stuffed schedule to check out, starting this afternoon. In the meantime, let’s take our daily look at the headlines.
The Oilers’ Justin Schultz likely won’t be able to play tonight against Detroit, but he’s currently listed as probable for tomorrow against Pittsburgh. He’s been fighting a back injury.
Schultz has one assist in nine games this year so far.

Carey Price of the Candiens is expected to be out for at least a week, according to the team.
Price re-aggravated a leg injury this week against the Rangers. He missed a total of three weeks with the issue last time, so there’s a distinct possibility he could exceed the estimate here.
In other goalie news, the Stars’ Kari Lehtonen will likely be missing the next 5-7 days due to an upper-body injury.
This is actually good news for Lehtonen, who was placed on injured reserve yesterday. It’s not as bad as it potentially have been.
The Wild’s Zach Parise was able to skate in practice yesterday. It was his first session since his knee injury.
If we had to guess, Parise probably won’t play tonight; we’d think the team will give him a few days to get up to speed.
The Flyers’ Ryan White will not be playing tonight or tomorrow. He’s fighting a shoulder injury.
There’s no concrete return date for White, but he does seem like he’s getting better as time goes by.
