The NHL is easing up a bit tonight after a busy weekend, but we’ve still got three games to look forward to. In the meantime, let’s take our daily look at the key players and stats out there.

Eric Staal, C, Carolina Hurricanes: The ‘Canes and Coyotes were duking it out for most of the game yesterday, until a power-play goal by Justin Faulk lifted the team to a 5-4 victory. Faulk scored with just 17 seconds remaining. It was his ninth PPG of the year.
Staal had a great game as well. He put up a goal and an assist with five shots.
The win brings Carolina to 10-13-4 on the season; they’ve won back-to-back games. Arizona falls to 13-13-1.
