The Calgary Flames welcome Pacific rival the San Jose Sharks to the Scotiabank Saddledome Tuesday.
The San Jose Sharks big third period comeback ran out of steam in a 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay at the SAP Center Saturday night. The Sharks offense produced goals from Joel Ward Matt Tennyson and Brent Burns but Alex Stalock was shaky between the pipes with all four goals given up on 20 shots as San Jose fell to 14-12-0. The Lightning received a pair of goals from Nikita Kucherov while Erik Condra and Brian Boyle each scored although Ben Bishop left the game midway through the third after taking a stick to the mask after allowing two goals on 26 shots. Andrei Vasilevskiy came on to stop 7-8 shots.

The Scotiabank Saddledome has been good to the Calgary Flames as of late and that trend continued with a 5-4, overtime victory versus the Boston Bruins for their 6th consecutive win on home ice. Johnny Gaudreau won it won it with 1:40 remaining in the extra session to complete the hat trick. Jiri Hudler and Mark Giordano also lit the lamp for the Flames with Hudler scoring with less then two seconds remaining in regulation with Karri Ramo getting the win with 34 stops. Brad Marchand scored twice with Matt Beleskey, Zdeno Chara also finding the back of the net. Tuukka Rask gave up a pair of goals on 26 shots before Jonas Gustavsson came on to allow three more on eleven shots.
