The Rangers take their show on the road as they head into Vancouver to battle the Canucks marking another return to Rogers Arena for former Canucks bench boss Alain Vigneault.
The New York Rangers head into Wednesday night's encounter with the Vancouver Canucks looking to create some separation in the Metro division as they lead the Washington Capitals by just a single point and have played three more games than their counterparts. The Blue Shirts started the season red hot but have cooled off over the last two weeks as they are just 4-5-1 in their last 10 games and they have slipped into third in terms of goal differential throughout the league. New York will turn to Henrik Lundqvist here who has a goals against average under two as he will square off against Ryan Miller who is hoping to lead the Canucks to just their fifth victory of the season at Rogers Arena.

The Canucks meanwhile are coming off a win in their last outing and while they remain in the race in the Pacific division they haven't looked like a contender to this point and while expectations weren't overly high in Vancouver this season it is still weird seeing them in this spot. The Canucks do have some talent but their top end guys are getting older and their younger talent isn't ready to handle the burden quite yet which leaves them at a bit of a stand still as they likely won't be sellers at the trade deadline but certainly don't want to lose any of their core pieces moving forward. This is another tough game for them despite being at home as I think Vigneault gets his boys extra fired up tonight and with Lundqvist in goal the Rangers should get the win.
