The Line: San Jose Sharks -140 / Minnesota Wild +127 --- Over/Under: 5 See the Latest Odds
The Wild head into San Jose looking to shake off another tough overtime loss while the home side aims to reclaim second spot in the Pacific division.
The Minnesota Wild continue to earn points even when they fall short of a victory as they have since dropped back to back games in overtime and are 4-3-3 overall in their last 10 games. Minnesota hasn't been very good on the road this season and if they're going to make a push into the league's elite they need to rectify that in a hurry as they are in fifth place in the Central division and will face stiff competition for a playoff berth. Darcy Kuemper will get the call as he will go up against Martin Jones. The Wild are 4-4-5 on the road this season while the Sharks are 4-8 at home.

The San Jose Sharks sit in third spot in the pacific despite trailing the Wild in the standings by five points which goes to show just how competitive the Central is this year as the second seeded Canucks in the Pacific would currently occupy the sixth seed in the Central. San Jose continues to be a streaky bunch and that inconsistency may not cost them a playoff spot due to the lack of talent in the division but they certainly won't get any ballots to be a Cup contender and if things continue to go awry we could see a new team by season's end. Despite Minny having a tough time on the road I am even more concerned with San Jose's play at home and in this spot I will take my chances with the better team.
