Make sure to get your NHL fix in tonight; it’s the last evening of hockey before the All-Star break. For now, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in the news this morning.
Corey Perry, RW, Anaheim Ducks: Perry, David Perron, Ryan Kesler and Shea Theodore each posted a goal and an assist last night in a dominant 6-2 win over the Bruins at TD Garden.
Goalie Frederik Andersen made 32 saves on 34 shots to help get the Ducks their third in a row and fifth in the past six. They’re now 22-18-7.
On the other side, Matt Beleskey logged two assists in the losing effort.

Riley Nash, C, Carolina Hurricanes: Carolina posted a very dominant performance last night against the Blackhawks, giving them something nice to reflect on through the break.
Nash put up two goals on five shots in the 5-0 shutout, while Jeff Skinner had a goal and an assist. Eddie Lack had 26 saves to get the ‘Canes to 23-20-8 on the year.
11 players got at least one point in this win at PNC Arena, which sent the Blackhawks to 33-16-4.
Roberto Luongo, G, Florida Panthers: Luongo is now tied with Tony Esposito for seventh place on the all-time victories list. He got his 423rd last night in a 5-1 victory over the Leafs at BB&T Center.
14 more victories and Luongo will get to sixth place with Jacques Plante. He’s 22-13-4 on the year so far.
On the offensive end, Jussi Jokinen logged a goal and an assist on three shots. It was the third straight win for Florida.
Joe Thornton, C, San Jose Sharks: Last night was a big one for Thornton. He got his 1,300th point with a pair of assists in a dominating 6-1 victory over the Avalanche at SAP Center.
Tomas Hertl logged a goal and an assist here, while Martin Jones had 21 saves on 22 shots.
As for Thornton, he’s the 33rd player in NHL history to hit 1,300 points in a career.
