After a busy Saturday, the NHL is easing things up a bit today with just five games on the schedule. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in the news today.

Adam Henrique, C, New Jersey Devils: Henrique got to play the hero last night at Wells Fargo Center against the Flyers. He bagged an overtime goal to lift the Devils to a 2-1 victory on the road.
Cory Schneider held it down in the net on the defensive side with 31 saves in the win, and Joseph Blandisi scored the other goal.
The win puts the Devils at 63 points and a 28-21-7 record. The Flyers are now 24-20-10 with a 58-point tally.

Carter Hutton, G, Nashville Predators: The Preds got the best of the Panthers last night at BB&T Center in Sunrise, snagging a 5-0 victory. Hutton posted the shutout with 22 saves as his team got the best of Roberto Luongo in an uncharacteristic performance from him.
James Neal scored and had an assist here; he’s now got 21 goals on the season.
Nashville moves to 26-21-9 with 61 points; the Panthers fall to 32-18-6 with 70 points.

Boone Jenner, C, Columbus Blue Jackets: Jenner scored his 18th and 19th goals of the season last night against the Senators, helping his team to a 4-2 victory at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.
Cam Atkinson also scored and had an assist; he’s got 19 goals on the year. On the other side, Bobby Ryan notched his 20th goal of the year on a power play in the third.
The Sens fall to 25-26-6 with 56 points here, and the Jackets improve to 23-28-6.

Ryan Getzlaf, C, Anaheim Ducks: Getzlaf scored and had an assist yesterday against the Blackhawks, helping his team snag a 3-2 win over the defending champs at United Center in Chicago.
Getzlaf’s goal came on a power play at 2:16 of overtime. It was his sixth of the year. Brent Seabrook scored twice for the Blackhawks.
The Ducks outshot Chicago 44-23 here and move to 27-19-8 with 62 points. Chicago is now 36-18-5 with 77 points.
