The Stars look to shake off a tough loss to the Coyotes on Thursday as they return home to face off against the Boston Bruins.
The Bruins head into Dallas on Saturday night looking to regroup after getting blanked by the Nashville Predators in their last outing and distance themselves from the pack for second place in the Atlantic division. The B’s had been on a roll but have since cooled off considerably and while the still sit in a playoff spot at the moment their wiggle room is much smaller with a handful of teams breathing down their necks. The Bruins have had a ton of success on the road this season which is pretty uncharacteristic of a team to have such a big discrepancy in terms of their home and away play to the latter but Boston seems to thrive away from the Garden and need another big showing here against the Stars. Tuukka Rask is expected to get the nod as he will face off against Kari Lehtonen.

The Stars meanwhile have fallen a little bit since their mid season hold on the Central division lead but now they are on a dog fight with the Blackhawks for that claim and it will likely be decided on the final day of the regular season. Dallas is 37-16-6 this season and do have two games in hand on the Hawks who currently lead the Central by a single point and with the St. Louis Blues in the fold as well with 77 points it makes the race for the top three seeds in the division very intriguing. Dallas matched up well with Arizona in their last outing but took the loss so it only makes sense here that in a game where they don’t match up nearly as well that they find a way to get it done, especially with Tyler Seguin playing his former team.
