We have six games coming our way in the NHL tonight, so it should be a pretty good evening for watching hockey. Before we get set let’s check out some of the key players and stats in the news.

Joonas Donskoi, RW, San Jose Sharks: The Sharks scored once in each period last night against the Bruins, resulting in a 3-2 victory at SAP Center in San Jose.
Donskoi bagged a power play goal and an assist, while David Krejci put up a goal and a helper on the other side.
The Sharks have 84 points now with a 39-24-6 record. Boston has 86 points with a 39-24-8 mark.

Anze Kopitar, C, Los Angeles Kings: Down in Dallas at American Airlines Center, the Kings scored three times in the third period as part of a 5-2 victory over the Stars.
Kopitar scored once and had an assist, while Rob Scuderi tallied two helpers. Tyler Toffoli also scored his 26th goal of the year in the first.
The Stars are now 41-21-9 with 91 points; the Kings have 89 points at 42-22-5.

Vincent Trocheck, C, Florida Panthers: Trocheck scored his 21st goal of the year last night at Bell Centre in Montreal (and he also added an assist), helping the Panthers to a 4-1 victory over the Canadiens.
Alexander Barkov scored his 23rd of the season in the third, while Alex Galchenyuk scored his 26th in the losing effort.
The Panthers are now at 87 points with a 39-22-9 record. The Canadiens sit at 70 points at a 32-32-6 record.

Ben Smith, RW, Toronto Maple Leafs: The Leafs scored three times in the third period last night at Air Canada Centre, leading to a 4-1 victory. Smith had a goal and an assist, his first score of the year.
Jonathan Bernier posted 26 saves on 27 shots in the win.
The Leafs have 59 points with a 24-34-11 record. The Lightning sit at 85 points and are 40-25-5.
