The NHL is taking a bit of a break this evening, with just four games on the schedule. While we’re waiting on those, let’s take a look at some of the key stats and players in the headlines right now.

James Reimer, G, San Jose Sharks: Over at SAP Center in San Jose, the Sharks were able to take care of the Coyotes last night.
Reimer bagged saves on all 25 shots, and took a 3-0 shutout victory. The team scored once in each period.
Joonas Donskoi assisted twice, while Joel Ward (20), Tomas Hertl (18) and Joe Pave ski (34) scored.
The Sharks now have 88 points.

Gabriel Landeskog, LW, Colorado Avalanche: Up at Rexall Place in Edmonton, the Avalanche took a 3-2 victory over Edmonton. They were up 2-0 heading into the third but held the Oilers at bay.
Landeskog scored and had an assist here, giving the Avs a 38-31-4 record and 80 points so far. The Oilers have 65 points at 29-39-7.

Sean Monahan, C, Calgary Flames: Monahan scored his 25th and 26th goals of the year--and also had an assist--last night at Bell Center in Montreal. The result was a 4-1 win for the Flames.
Dougie Hamilton was in a giving mood here, racking up three assists.
The Flames move to 31-35-6 and 68 points with the win; the Canadiens have 72 points at 33-34-6.

Trevor Daley, D, Pittsburgh Penguins: Consol Energy Center was the site of a very important matchup last night. Pittsburgh scored twice in the first and three times in the third en route to a 6-2 victory over the Capitals.
Daley and Tom Kuhnhackl each scored and had a pair of assists, helping the team outshoot the Caps 31-18.
The Pens now have 88 points; the Capitals stay idle at 107.
