The Penguins look to push the Rangers to the brink of elimination with a game four victory at MSG on Thursday night.
The Penguins took back home ice advantage thanks to a momentum swinging game three victory at MSG and if they can get another win here they can return home with a potential series clinching game on the horizon. Pittsburgh has looked very solid in this series so far and do have the roster to make a deep playoff push and if they can get continued production in the crease out of the young Matt Murray until Marc-Andre Fleury can return and after demonstrating his worth in game three’s victory things are promising for the Penguins on Thursday. Murray is expected to get the start as he will face off against Henrik Lundqvist who needs to find a way to steal a game for the Rangers tonight.

New York grabbed a big win in game two and returned home looking for the edge in the series but now they are trailing once again and could very well be pushed to the wall if they can’t find a way to get a win tonight. The Rangers drew the short straw in the Metro division bracket as they were an Islanders win away from landing in the much more manageable Atlantic bracket and even they do find a way to get through the Penguins in this series they will likely have to contend with the Capitals in round two. The Rangers are a good team and should put up a better fight in this one and while I think Pittsburgh wins the series I think New York is too good to drop both games on home ice.
