The Sharks look to advance to the Western Conference final with a road win in Nashville on Monday while the Predators play to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Sharks played arguably their best game of the playoffs on Saturday night as they pasted the Predators at the Shark Tank to the tune of a 5-1 final and left no doubt that they are the favourite to emerge out of this series. San Jose will look to carry that momentum over into game six as they head back to Nashville with a chance at wrapping up the series but they haven’t been able to get a win on the road in this series so far and we could very well be destined for a deciding game seven if the Sharks can’t find their game away from home. Martin Jones continues to impress in the San Jose crease and he will get the start against Pekka Rinne who will need to have a strong outing if the Preds are going to keep their season alive.

The Predators have been competitive in four of the five games in this series but looked outclassed in game five’s thrashing on Saturday and will need to respond in a big way tonight if they’re going to keep their Cup dreams alive. Nashville has a ton of depth on the back end and possess one of the game’s best in Shea Weber and possess a relatively deep forward crop despite lacking the superstar talent that many playoff teams possess, but that suits them just fine as they have developed a winning recipe and are in a good spot to do so again here. However, I think they are in trouble after getting shelled in game five as the Sharks opened the flood gates and can smell the Western Conference final and they won’t let it get it a deciding game seven this time.
