The Columbus Blue Jackets take the ice at the Staples Center in Tuesday night NHL hockey action.
The Columbus Blue Jackets are hoping for another hot night in the nets when they visit the Kings Tuesday in an NHL hockey tilt. Columbus comes off a 3-0 victory at Dallas where they rode the 32 save performance of Sergei Bobrovsky who improved to 8-1-1 versus the Stars while logging his 13th career shutout. Josh Anderson paced the CBK attack with a goal and an assist with Scott Hartnell scoring midway through the third while Matt Calvert found the empty net with just over a minute to play. Stars netminder Kari Lehtonen absorbed the lost with 23 stops as the banged up Stars could not generate any offense.

The Los Angeles Kings have a reputation as being a tough NHL hockey club to score on but with injuries between the pipes the offense might have to take center stage. The Kings lost Jonathan Quick in the opener and back up Jeff Zatkoff in practice Saturday morning to force Peter Budaj in to action against Vancouver in an eventual 4-3 shootout win. Tanner Pearson scored in regulation and won it in the shootout with Dustin Brown and Brayden McNabb also scoring for he for the Kings to make Budaj and his 22 stops a winner. Henrik Sedin, Markus Granlund and Alexander Edler tallied for the Canucks while Jacob Markstrom made 28 saves in the loss.
The Blue Jackets are 4-0 in their last 4 road games and the Blue Jackets are 4-0 in their last 4 vs. a team with a losing record and the under is 4-1 in Blue Jackets last 5 Tuesday games. The over is 4-0 in Kings last 4 overall and the over is 4-0-1 in Kings last 5 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game while the Kings are 1-5 in their last 6 home games. The over is 2-0-2 in the last 4 meetings and the Blue Jackets are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings in Los Angeles while the Blue Jackets are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings.
The numbers say look at the Kings but they are already down to their third goalie right now so let me look further in to this while waiting for goalies and lines…
