The Tampa Bay Lightning head into the Bell Centre looking to upend the Montreal Canadiens in a show down of Eastern Conference titans.

The Lightning look to build on their 7-2 trouncing of the Toronto Maple Leafs as they continue their Eastern Canada road trip in Montreal against a Canadiens side that is coming off yet another victory last night and has still to lose a game in regulation. Tampa Bay broke out in a big way offensively, albeit against the Maple Leafs, but they can use that confidence against a  strong Canadiens side that has been locking teams down in the defensive zone, and with Shea Weber and Carey Price doing most of the work it is easy to see why. Steven Stamkos is coming off a nice game and will be out for an encore as he and the Bolts match up well with Montreal in what should be the race for the Atlantic division crown this season.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Tampa Bay Lightning - 10/27/16 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Montreal Canadiens look to stay undefeated in regulation as they return home to face off against the Tampa Bay Lightning and will likely keep Carey Price in the crease here and have Al Montoya as the backup. Typically in a back to back the Habs would try and rest their prized possession, especially considering his health concerns over the last year, but this early in the season and in a divisional show down with what is likely to be their toughest competition they will probably go with Price who will be out to avenge Montreal’s ugly losing ways against the Bolts over the last couple of seasons.

The Lightning are 6-0 in their last six against the Atlantic and 5-1 in their last six overall while the Habs are 4-0 in their last four overall and 6-1 in their last seven against the East. Tampa seems to always elevate their game against the Canadiens and I think we see Montreal’s first regulation loss of the season.
