The Los Angeles Kings look for their fifth win in a row as they head into St. Louis to face off against the Blues in a Saturday show down between Western Conference foes.
The Kings look to make a statement on Saturday night against the Blues as Petr Budaj has handled the void left by Jonathan Quick as he has yet to lose and has been dominant through four games and will be out to keep that streak alive against the Blues on Saturday. Los Angeles was written off by a lot of people after it was learned that Quick would miss significant time due to a lower body injury and while that still could be the case as he is one of the best in the business, Budaj has played very well in relief and has proven on a number of occasions during his career that he is capable of being an every day option in the crease.

The Blues meanwhile are considered one of the best teams in the league and will be out to take down the Kings at home on Saturday in front of what should be a very excited Scottrade crowd. St. Louis has stumbled out of the gate this season as they are 1-4 in their last five contests and are 1-5 in their last six against the Pacific but they have the core to go on a deep playoff run and have to remember we are only a couple of weeks into the season and there is plenty of time to rebound. They will send Jake Allen to the crease here as he will look to out play Budaj in a goaltending matchup that would have been hard to predict at this time last season.
The Kings are 3-8 in their last 11 road games and 2-6 in their last eight against the Central while the Blues are 1-5 in their last six against the Pacific and 0-5 in their last five against a team with a winning record. Los Angeles has looked great of late and Budaj should be able to keep it going as the Kings get great value on the road.
