The New Jersey Devils look to shake off a tough loss last night as they head to the road to match up against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday.
The Devils sustained a tough 5-4 overtime loss at home last night against the Detroit Red Wings and were uncharacteristically poor in their own end as Corey Schneider and company had an off night and now they take to the road to face the defending Cup champions. New Jersey will send Keith Kinkaid to the crease here as he looks to continue his strong start to the season as the Devils’ back up goaltender as he is expected to square off against Matt Murray who was the Penguins hero in their Cup quest last year and is easing his way back into starter’s minutes after missing the beginning of the year with an injury.

The Penguins took one on the chin last night against a very good Minnesota Wild team as they were tripled up by a 6-2 final and will look to shake off that rust with a Saturday night showing against the Devils. Pittsburgh has a ton of offense and a very underrated blue line but both were held in check last night in what was a dominant effort from start to finish for a Minnesota group that always seems to play well at home. Murray will look to recreate his Cup form from a season ago as he will look to keep Taylor Hall and company in check on Saturday night in what should be an exciting game in Pittsburgh.
The Devils are 5-0 in their last five against the Eastern Conference and 3-11 in their last 14 road games while the Pens are 23-7 in their last 30 against the Metro and 32-11 in their last 43 home games. Both teams are coming off a loss but the Pens are the ones that rebound here with a goaltending edge here and they should coast here.
