The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the visiting Florida Panthers 2-1 in a shootout Tuesday to spoil the coaching debut of Tom Rowe behind a few clutch SO tallies. The Hawks received the game winner from Richard Panik who also scored the lone goal in regulation. Artemi Panarin also tallied in the shootout to make a winner of Corey Crawford and his season high 36 stops as Chicago upped their record to 15-6-3. The Panthers tied it 1-1 on Jaromir Jagr’s third period goal but Roberto Luongo’s 32 save performance went for naught as the Panthers fell to 11-10-2 in the first game since former coach Gerard Gallant was given the axe.
