Saturday NHL action features the Chicago Blackhawks visiting the New Jersey Devils.
The Chicago Blackhawks have been rather quiet over the first half of the season thus far and the question has been when will this team wake up. The time might be now as Chicago had ripped off five consecutive victories before the good times ended in a 4-0 defeat at the Dallas Stars on Thursday.

The Stars offense received a pair of goals from Tyler Seguin with Jamie Benn and Antoine Roussel also finding the back of the net. Dan Hamhuis posted two assists and Ben Bishop recorded 24 saves to earn his third shutout of the season and help end the Stars three game skid. Corey Crawford absorbed the loss with 18 stops.
For those that are expecting the New Jersey Devils to fade, the wait will be longer with the team playing well with victories in four of five. New Jersey ran their winning streak to three games with a 4-3 shootout win versus the visiting New York Rangers on Thursday. Jimmy Vessey, Nick Holden, and Kevin Hayes each scored for the Rangers with Henrik Lundqvist stopping 45 shots.
New Jersey fired pucks at the Rangers net the entire game with John Moore, Blake Coleman and Brian Boyle scoring in regulation. Boyle also score the winner in round four of the shootout to lift Cory Schneider and his 25 stops to the win.

Both teams are playing well right now but I lean New Jersey because they seem like an overlooked team that is better then many think…
