The Tampa Bay Lightning look to stay red hot on the road as they head into Vancouver to face off with the Canucks on Saturday night.

The Lightning have been one of the league’s best teams this season and after a come back victory against the Flames in their last outing they look to send the Canucks to another loss that has become common place on home ice. Tampa Bay is loaded across the board and while they have had some issues staying healthy, as many teams have, they haven’t missed a beat as they are 43-18 in their last 61 overall and have won four of their last five in Vancouver. Tampa Bay is expected to send Andrei Vasilevskiy to the crease here as he continues his Vezina caliber season as he will face off against Jacob Markstrom who has emerged as the go to guy in the Vancouver crease, though his stats have lined up with how the Canucks have done this season which is underwhelming and underachieving.

Vancouver Canucks vs. Tampa Bay Lightning - 2/3/18 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Canucks have dropped four games in a row against the Atlantic and have had a woeful time playing in front of their home fans as they are 10-28 in their last 38 games in Vancouver and with the Bolts in town here the chances of them breaking that trend is pretty slim. Vancouver does have some very good young players in the form of NHL all-star Brock Boeser, Jake Virtanen, and Bo Horvat but with the Sedin’s still lingering around we haven’t seen a full changing of the guard and the Canucks remain in a state of limbo as they are far off from the playoffs but not quite in tank mode.

The Bolts are 19-7 in their last 26 against the West and 4-1 in their last five road games while the Canucks are 7-16 in their last 23 overall and 17-36 in their last 53 against the East. The line here is full of chalk but the Canucks have given us no reason to trust them at home as Tampa cruises to another win.
