NHL action comes to the Staples Center where the Los Angeles Kings host the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.
The Edmonton Oilers are already facing a must win portion of the schedule if the team wants to reach the postseason. Edmonton will be shooting for back to back wins after routing the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-2 on Monday. Alex Kilhorn and Yanni Gourde provided the scoring for the Lightning with Andrei Vasilevskiy allowing four goals on 26 shots before Louis Dominigue came on to stop 7-9 shots.

Connor McDavid carried the Oilers offense with four goals while also adding an assist while Iiro Pakarinen and Leon Draisaitl also lit the lamp. Draisaitl also posted a pair of helpers for Edmonton with the win going to Cam Talbot who made 32 saves to up his record to 19-17-2.
The Los Angeles Kings are trying to solidify the home ice advantage in the opening round of the playoffs and the team has been doing their part with wins in three of four. Los Angeles comes off of a 6-0 victory versus the Arizona Coyotes where Scott Wedgewood was charged with six goals on 35 shots.
Los Angeles saw six different players score with Alex Iafallo, Trevor Lewis, Adrian Kempe, Jake Muzzin, Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown all lighting the lamp. Jake Muzzin gave the Kings a pair of helpers and Darcy Kuemper brushed aside 27 shots to get the shutout.
