The Boston Bruins look to continue their remarkable season as they host the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday afternoon in one of the most lopsided lines of the season.

The Sabres look to pull off the huge upset on the road as they head into the TD Garden to face off against the Boston Bruins who have been one of the best teams in the NHL this season and have absolutely dominated the Sabres in recent meetings. Buffalo currently sits a full 34 points behinf the Bruins in the Eastern Conference standings and come into today’s game with 16-37 mark in their last 53 games against the East and a 1-7 stretch against foes from the Atlantic division. Buffalo does have some nice pieces in place but with the trade deadline around the corner it looks like they are in line to become sellers once again as they can yield a decent return to encompass their core as guys like Evander Kane should be shown the door in the next couple of weeks.

USA TODAY Sports

The Bruins meanwhile have been ridiculous over the last month or so and they could be a nice show case here for a player like Kane who would be a nice piece offensively for a team that relies a lot on their top line to produce. Boston is a perfect 12-0 in their last 12 matchups against division rivals and as such they are right in the mix for top spot in the Eastern Conference and with a home record as sparkling as theirs they would love to have home ice advantage throughout the playoffs and have the conference crown go through Bean Town. Boston is 8-1 in their last nine meetings against the Sabres and with Brad Marchand back in the lineup they are a dangerous team that is worthy of the heavy line here.

The Sabres are 16-44 in their last 60 overall and 17-45 in their last 62 road games while the Bruins are 22-4 in their last 26 against the East and 11-1 in their last 12 playing on two day’s rest. Boston is the much better team here and the only play is in regulation or the puck line as this one should get out of hand.
