The Air Canada Center and the Toronto Maple Leafs welcome the Ottawa Senators to town for a Saturday NHL matchup.
The Ottawa Senators need a monster second half run to even sniff the postseason and have taken a few steps in that direction with wins in four of five after a 4-3, SO victory versus the Nashville Predators. PK Subban pace Nashville with a pair of goals with Callie Jarnkrok also scoring while Juuse Saro stopped 32 shots in defeat.

The balanced Senators attack featured scoring from four different players with Christopher DiDomenico, Max McCormick and Magnus Paajarvi scoring in regulation with Mike Hoffman netting the winner in OT. Ryan Dzingel added two assists and Craig Anderson picked up the win for Ottawa with 35 saves.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are playing their best hockey of the season with wins in seven of nine where both ends of the ice have contributed to the success. Toronto comes off of a 3-2 shootout victory versus the Nashville Predators. Colton Sissons and Viktor Arvidsson scored for Nashville with Pekka Rinne taking the loss with 30 stops.
The surging Maple Leafs saw James van Riemsdyk open the scoring with just under four minutes remaining in the first with Kasperi Kapanen doubling the advantage with a short handed tally in the second. Van Riemsdyk scored the winner in round seven of the shootout to make a winner of Frederik Andersen and his 44 stops.
