Sunday night NHL action features a matchup between the New York Islanders and the Calgary Flames.
The Calgary Flames are looking to get back in the win column after a 4-3 defeat at the New York Rangers on Friday ended a three game winning streak. Calgary who received goals from Brett Kulak, Curtis Lazar and Matthew Tkachuk.

The balanced Rangers attack featured four different goal scorers with Kevin Hayes, Michael Grabner, Rick Nash and Mika Zibanjad all lighting the lamp. Henrik Lundqvist picked up the win for New York with 28 stops before leaving with a knee injury with Ondrej Pavelec stopping 7-8 in relief. Mike Smith took the loss for the Flames with 32 saves.
The New York Islanders have been unpredictable for much of the season as consistency has been elusive. New York comes off of a 7-6, OT win versus Detroit where the Wings saw Anthony Mantha scored twice with Martin Frk, Henrik Zetterberg, Darren Helm and Mike Green also lighting the lamp while Petr Mrazek allowed seven goals on 29 shots to get the loss.
The explosive New York offense saw Brock Nelson record a hat trick including the winner in the extra session. Nick Leddy, Anders Lee, Jordan Eberle and Josh Bailey also found the back of the net while Mathew Barzal added four assists before Thomas Greiss allowed five goals on 32 shots with Jaroslav Halak stopping 6-7 shots to get the win for New York.
