The Line: Carolina Hurricanes -125 / Los Angeles Kings +113 --- Over/Under: 5.5 See the Latest Odds
The Carolina Hurricanes look to snap out of their losing ways against the Pacific division as they welcome the Los Angeles Kings to town on Tuesday night.
The Kings look to continue their recent success against the Hurricanes as the two sides meet up in Raleigh on Tuesday night and with a win the Kings can claim their sixth win in their last eight games and continue their pursuit of a playoff spot in the Western Conference. Los Angeles had been a tad inconsistent to start the season and had many people thinking whether or not they would be capable of getting back to the playoffs this season but a midseason adjustment has them back in the mix in the Pacific division and with history on their side here in this series with the Hurricanes it has a ton of public money coming in on them in this spot. Jonathan Quick is expected to get the nod here as he will face off against Cam Ward who will need a strong effort here if the Canes are to snap out of their 1-5 mark in their last six games on home ice.

The Hurricanes have hit a speed bump in their schedule and have gone from a trendy dark horse team in the Eastern Conference to a team fighting just to stay above the .500 mark. Carolina has a decently bright future with some significant pieces but they have struggled against Western Conference foes with a 6-14 mark in their last 20 games and things have been even worse against the Pacific as they have just two wins in their last 11 tries. Carolina will need to get their offense going as the under continues to hit in this series and if they’re going to take out the Kings here they need a strong effort in the offensive third.
The Kings are 5-2 in their last seven overall and 20-9 in their last 29 against the East while the Canes are 1-5 in their last six Thursday games and 4-9 in their last 13 against Los Angeles. The money is on the Kings here but that could change as we inch closer to puck drop but I am with the early money here as Los Angeles is the better team and hitting their stride.
