The Columbus Blue Jackets look to snap out of their ugly losing skid as they head into New Jersey to face off against the Devils on Tuesday night.

The Blue Jackets look to shake off their late season swoon and avoid falling out of the playoff picture as they head into New Jersey to take on the Devils who are trending in the opposite direction as winners of four in a row and five of their last six against the Metro division. Columbus has responded nicely after getting shellacked in their previous game as they are 9-1 in their last 10 after dropping a contest by more than three goals and with a sparkling 6-1 mark in their last seven trips to New Jersey they are in decent shape here and should feel confident going into this one with the goaltending advantage. Sergei Bobrovsky is expected to get the start as he will face off against Keith Kinkaid who continues to log starts in the absence of Corey Schneider.

New Jersey Devils vs. Columbus Blue Jackets - 2/20/18 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Devils meanwhile are coming off a huge win and will look to carry it over here against he Jackets though they don’t have a ton of trends working in their favour. The Devils have won five of their last six games following a victory and are a perfect 4-0 in their last four games against Eastern Conference foes and with the Jackets struggling on the road of late with a 4-11 mark in their last 15 games this could perhaps be an easy showing for the Devils despite their recent mark against the jackets. New Jersey does match up well here in terms of depth across the board but with Kinkaid in goal it is tough to decipher what you will get in the crease while the Jackets have one of the game’s better netminders in Bobrovsky.

The Jackets are 2-5 in their last seven Tuesday games and 2-6 in their last eight against the Metro while the Devils have hit the over in five of their last six and are 9-21 in their third game in a 3-4 set. Columbus is struggling and not giving Bobrovsky any help and until we get that I am going to continue to fade them.
