The Buffalo Sabers could also use a victory here after losing six of their last 10 games. The Buffalo Sabers are averaging 2.4 goals per game and are scoring on 17.2 percent of their power play opportunities. Jack Eichel leads Buffalo with 22 goals, Evander Kane has 20 assists and Ryan O'Reilly has 175 shots on goal. Robin Lehner has given up 127 goals on 1,397 shots faced and Chad Johnson has allowed 67 goals on 646 shots. The Buffalo Sabers have allowed three or more goals in 10 of their last 15 games.
The Maple Leafs are 1-5 in their last 6 road games, 7-1 in their last 8 games playing on 1 days rest and 13-5 in their last 18 overall. The Sabres are 3-8 in their last 11 home games, 18-38 in their last 56 vs. Eastern Conference and 21-50 in their last 71 overall. The Maple Leafs are 13-38-2 in the last 53 meetings in Buffalo, the home team is 24-6 in the last 30 meetings and the over is 10-4-3 in the last 17 meetings.
Fading the Buffalo Sabers is one of my favorite plays in hockey, and it's been no different this season. The Toronto Maple Leafs are in a bit of their funks right now, but they have the explosive offense to abuse this Buffalo defense, and these are the type of games that can get them back on track. Even on the road, the talent gap between these two clubs is quite large. The Maple Leafs should have little trouble dominating this contest.
