The Buffalo Sabres go on the road to face the Nashville Predators in a Saturday NHL tilt.
The season is quickly drawing to a close and the Buffalo Sabres haven’t been able to get anything going. Buffalo has dropped five of six following a 6-3 defeat to Detroit where Jack Eichel, Ryan O’Reilly and Evan Rodrigues scored for the Sabres while Chad Johnson stopped 9-12 shots to get the loss before Robin Lehner allowed three goals on 32 shots in relief.

Six players scored for Detroit with Dylan Larkin, Darren Helm, Anthony Mantha, Andreas Athanasou, Danny DeKeyser and Evgeny Svechnikov all lighting the lamp. The Red Wings scoring burst made Jimmy Howard’s 29 saves an easy winner.
The Nashville Predators are heading towards the postseason as one of the top teams in the NHL after squeezing in as the #8 seed a year ago. Nashville comes in off of a 5-3 win versus San Jose where Logan Couture, Brenden Dillon and Mikkel Boedker scored for the Sharks and Martin Jones allowed four goals on 31 shots.
The balanced Predators saw Kyle Turris, Viktor Arvidsson, Craig Smith, Ryan Ellis and Nick Bonino all reach the scoring column. Filip Forsberg gave Nashville three assists and Juuse Saros made an impressive 39 saves to get the victory.

Buffalo has had some success against Nashville but I think this is a bad spot for the Sabres…
