The Montreal Canadiens finish off their abysmal season on the road against their arch rivals who are gearing up for a playoff run in the Eastern Conference.

The Canadiens have had one of the most disappointing seasons in the NHL as many had them pegged as a potential dark horse in the Eastern Conference, but instead they have been a league doormat and could very well land the top overall draft pick this summer. The Habs made a few changes to their roster and there seem to be plenty of more on the horizon and it could very well extend into the front office as general manager Marc Bergevin is a candidate to lose his job and perhaps an overhaul in Montreal is what needs to happen as they are a number of pieces away from being back in the mix in the Atlantic division. Montreal will send Carey Price to the crease as he will face off against Freddy Andersen in the last meeting between these two bitter rivals.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Montreal Canadiens - 4/7/18 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Maple Leafs are going back to the playoffs after a surprising run last season and while they are locked into the third seed in the Atlantic division it is still up in the air who they will face off against as the battle for top spot between the Bruins and Lightning is still ongoing. Toronto is a very deep team in the offensive zone with a number of key guys contributing on the score sheet and regardless of who they face in the first round they are going to be a very tough out as they have been excellent on home ice. Toronto has struggled against the Canadiens though as Montreal is 16-5 in the last 21 show downs with the Leafs and the road team is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these sides.

The Canadiens are 5-12 in their last 17 against the Atlantic and winless in their last four following a win while the Leafs are 13-3 in their last 16 on one day’s rest and 20-7 in their last 27 home games. This is a decent spot to take a look at a Montreal side who would love to finish the season with a win in Toronto but the Leafs record at home is too good to look past as they get it done.
