The Minnesota Wild enter the NHL postseason at 45-25-11 which was good for third in the Central. Minnesota is ranked 11th in scoring at three goals and are 11th with 2.8 goals allowed. The strength of the Wild be on offense where Eric Staal, Zach Parise, Mikael Grandlund and Jason Zucker must produce with the defense hurt by a late injury.

Ryan Suter broke his ankle with just weeks remaining in the regular season which means Minnesota will now lean heavily on Matt Dumba and Jonas Brodin on the blue line. Goalie Devan Dubnyk will also be key after going 35-23 with a 2.52 GAA and .918 save percentage.
The Winnipeg Jets spent some time at he top of the Central standings before settling for second at 52-20-10. Winnipeg was the number two offense at 3.3 goals with the #5 defense that allowed 2.6 goals so this team could win a shootout or defensive struggle.
The Jets have numerous weapons at the offensive end with Patirk Laine, Blake Wheeler, Nikolaj Ehlers and Mark Scheifele giving the team plenty of scoring. However, goalie Connor Hellebuyck might be the key to the Jets playoff success with a 2.38 GAA and .923 save percentage that led to 44 wins.
