The Pittsburgh Penguins and the New Jersey Devils meet in NHL action from the Prudential Center on Tuesday night.

The Pittsburgh Penguins come into this game looking to build on a 4-0 win over Arizona in their last outing. The game was a scoreless stalemate through 20 minutes of play before Sidney Crosby opened the scoring for the Pens in the 2nd period. Dominik Simon and Patric Hornqvist would add a marker as well to give the Pens a 3-0 lead after the 2nd period and Brandon Dumoulin would put the game on ice with a 4th goal in the early stages of the 3rd period. Casey DeSmith stopped all 39 shots that he faced in the winning effort for the shutout to improve to 3-1-2 this season.

New Jersey Devils vs. Pittsburgh Penguins - 11/13/18 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The New Jersey Devils could use a win to snap a 3 game losing skid after being taken down by Winnipeg in their last outing by a final score of 5-2. New Jersey found themselves down 2-0 just 3:31 into the game thanks to a pair of goals just :29 apart, but Brett Seney could cut the deficit in half by the end of the 1st period. Winnipeg would quickly restore the two goal cushion and the Devils would also respond quickly to as well, thanks to a marker from Blake Coleman. The Jets would close the door with two more goals however and send the Devils back empty-handed. Cory Schneider took the loss, falling to 0-3-0 this season after allowing all 5 goals on 28 shots in the losing effort.

Pittsburgh is 1-5 in their last 6 games overall and 0-5 in their last 5 games against the Eastern Conference while the under is 4-0-1 in their last 5 games overall. New Jersey is 1-6 in their last 7 games overall and 9-3 in their last 12 home games while the over is 4-1-1 in their last 6 games against the Eastern Conference. Pittsburgh is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams in New Jersey.

The Devils have struggled over the last week, but they return home where they’ve been solid dating back to last season so the plus money is tempting. However, home ice hasn’t mattered between these two teams as the road team has won the last 4 matchups, and Pittsburgh has won 4 of the last 5 dates between the two teams in New Jersey. I just trust the Penguins offensively more than I do New Jersey’s so I’ll lay the juice with the Penguins on the road here.
