The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Sabres meet in NHL action from the KeyBank Center on Tuesday night.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will look to build on yet another winning streak, this one sitting at 4 in a row after a 5-3 win over Minnesota in their last outing. Auston Matthews and Tyler Ennis would boost Toronto to a 2-0 lead that would be cut in half by the end of the 1st period and erased early on in the 2nd period. Zach Hyman would give Toronto the lead again at 3-2 after 40 minutes of play, before Minny tied the game again early in the 3rd. Nazem Kadri put Toronto up 4-3 and Hyman added his 2nd goal of the night on an empty net to ice the game for the Leafs. Frederik Andersen got the win to improve to 15-7-0 this season after stopping 38 of 41 shots faced in the winning effort.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Toronto Maple Leafs - 12/4/18 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Sabres will be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses following a 3-2 overtime loss to Florida in their last outing. Jeff Skinner opened the scoring for Buffalo with his 20th of the season, but the lead would last less than eight minutes before Florida tied the game at 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. Sam Reinhart would give Buffalo a 2-1 lead before the Panthers tied the game just after the midway point of the final frame, sending us to overtime, where Florida took the win halfway through the extra period. Linus Ullmark took the OT loss to fall to 5-0-2 this season after allowing all 3 goals on 43 shots in the defeat.

Toronto is 10-3 in their last 13 road games and 45-22 in their last 67 games overall while the over is 3-0-1 in their last 4 division games. Buffalo is 6-0 in their last 6 home games and 10-2 in their last 12 games overall while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 division games. The home team is 26-8 in the last 34 meetings between these two teams.

The home team has owned this matchup, and the Sabres have been money at home for the last couple of weeks, making the plus money worth a serious look. However, Toronto has been just as good on the road all season and come into this game in much better form than the Sabres who cooled off in their last couple of games. I’m not a huge fan of laying juice on the road, but I just think Toronto wins this game, so I’ll side with the Leafs to get the job done.
