Mike Hoffman led the Panthers offense with a pair of goals with Mike Matheson, Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov all lighting the lamp. Huberdeau and Keith Yandle had two assists each with Aleksander Barkov adding three helpers to make an easy winner of Florida and the 33 stops of Roberto Luongo.
The surging Tampa Bay Lightning have racked up wins in eight of ten after outscoring Detroit 6-5 in a SO on Tuesday. The Red Wings received a pair of goals from Gustav Nyquist with Frans Nielsen logging a hat trick. Dylan Larkin and Andreas Athanasiou each assisted twice and Jimmy Howard gave up five goals on 35 shots for Detroit.
The Lightning receive two goals from Mathieu Joseph with Steven Stamkos, JT Miller and Cedric Paquette also joining the scoring column. Ryan Callahan posted two assists for Tampa Bay who won the shootout 2-1 with Edward Pasquale recording 19 saves.
