The Chicago Blackhawks and Vegas Golden Knights meet Thursday in NHL action at the T-Mobile Arena.
The Chicago Blackhawks could use a win here to snap a rough five-game losing streak. The Chicago Blackhawks are averaging 2.8 goals per game and are scoring on 12.5 percent of their power play opportunities. Patrick Kane leads Chicago with 13 goals, Jonathan Toews has 10 assists and Alex DeBrincat has 79 shots on goal. Defensively, the Chicago Blackhawks are allowing 3.7 goals per game and are killing 73.5 percent of their opponents power plays. Corey Crawford has given up 52 goals on 534 shots faced and Cam Ward has allowed 45 goals on 402 shots. The Chicago Blackhawks have allowed three or more goals in each of their last eight games.

The Vegas Golden Knights look to keep the puck rolling after winning seven of their last nine games. The Vegas Golden Knights are averaging three goals per game and are scoring on 19.4 percent of their power play opportunities. Cody Eakin leads Vegas with 11 goals, Reilly Smith has 13 assists and William Karlsson has 59 shots on goal. Defensively, the Vegas Golden Knights are allowing 2.8 goals per game and are killing 84.9 percent of their opponents power plays. Marc-Andre Fleury has given up 59 goals on 669 shots faced and Malcolm Subban has allowed 18 goals on 128 shots. The Vegas Golden Knights have allowed three or less goals in each of their last seven games.
The Blackhawks are 19-42 in their last 61 road games, 21-53 in their last 74 vs. Western Conference and 7-19 in their last 26 games playing on 0 days rest. The Golden Knights are 4-1 in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest, 43-18 in their last 61 home games and 6-1 in their last 7 overall. The Blackhawks are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings. The over is 4-1 in Golden Knights last 5 overall. The over is 4-1-2 in Blackhawks last 7 overall.
The price here isn't ideal and something I don't lay often, but the Chicago Blackhawks are a complete mess right now and it doesn't help they're on the end of a back to back. The Vegas Golden Knights are playing their most consistent hockey over these last two weeks and continue to be one of the tougher teams to play at home. It also doesn't help that Vegas has won the last four games against Chicago, which includes a 8-3 win about a week ago. I'll eat the steep price given everything leading to a Golden Knights victory.
