The Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins meet in NHL action from the PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday night.

The Buffalo Sabres will be looking to rebound from a 5-4 loss at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs in their last game. Rasmus Asplund leads the Sabres in scoring with 10 points incluing 4 goals and 6 assists while Victor Olofsson, Jeff Skinner and Tage Thompson each have 9 points with a team-high 5 goals and 4 assists. Kyle Okposo and Colin Miller each have 8 points with Miller logging 7 assists while Okposo has 3 goals and 5 assists. Dustin Tokarski has gone 2-3-2 in goal for Buffalo with a 2.95 GAA and a .908 save percentage while Craig Anderson is 4-2 with a 2.50 GAA and a .921 save percentage this season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be looking to bounce back from a 6-1 drubbing at the hands of the Capitals in their last game. Evan Rodrigues leads the Pens with 11 points including a team-high 6 goals and 5 assists while Jake Guentzel has 10 points with 4 goals and 6 assists. Kris Letang and Kasperi Kapanen each have 9 points as well with Letang posting a team-high 9 assists while Kapanen has 4 goals and 5 apples on the year. Tristan Jarry’s seen the majority of Pittsburgh’s action in goal, going 5-3-3 with a 2.57 GAA and a .918 save percentage this season.

Buffalo is 15-39 in their last 54 games overall and 12-44 in their last 56 games as a road underdog while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. Pittsburgh is 104 in their last 5 games overall and 1-6 in their last 7 games as a favorite while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games against the Atlantic division.

This isn’t a game I’m running to bet, as the Sabres stink on the road and the Penguins aren’t worthy of laying this kind of price just because. Instead, I’m going to side with the over as both teams have been shaky defensively for stretches this season and I  just don’t think we see a low-scoring game here. Give me the over in this one.
