The Winnipeg Jets and the Ottawa Senators meet in NHL action from the Canadian Tire Centre on Wednesday night.

The Winnipeg Jets will look to rebound from a 4-2 loss to Ottawa last time out. Mark Scheifele leads the Jets in scoring with 48 points including 15 goals and a team-high 33 assists while Nikolaj Ehlers has 18 goals with 24 assists for his 42 points and Kyle Connor has 40 points with a team-high 19 goals. Andrew Copp, Blake Wheeler and Paul Stastny all have double-digit goal and assist numbers while Neal Pionk has 23 assists this season. As a team, Winnipeg is averaging 3.3 goals on 29.8 shots with a 25.8% success rate on the power play while allowing 2.6 goals on 31.1 shots against with an 81% success rate on the PK this season.

The Ottawa Senators will look to build on their win over the Jets in their last matchup. Thomas Chabot and Brady Tkachuk each have 26 points with Chabot logging a team-high 22 assists while Tkachuk has a team-high 14 goals and 174 shots on goal this season. Drake Batherson has 25 points with 13 goals and 12 assists and Connor Brown has 24 points with 14 goals and 10 assists. Winnipeg is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a road favorite and 6-2 in their last 8 road games while the under is 3-1-1 in their last 5 games overall. Ottawa is 23-53 in their last 76 games overall and 1-4 in their last 5 home games while the under is 8-1-3 in their last 11 home games as an underdog. Winnipeg is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings between these two teams.

I get the case that could be made for either side as Ottawa has been really good at home and got the win last time out while the Jets have been the better team long-term while also being rock solid on the road. With that said, I think this is going to be a battle and I could easily see both sides trading blows here in a game that gets to seven goals minimum. Give me the over in this one.
