The Chicago Blackhawks and the Nashville Predators meet in NHL action from Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday night.

The Chicago Blackhawks will look to build off of back-to-back wins over Detroit including a 6-2 win over the Red Wings last time out. Patrick Kane leads the Blackhawks with 7 points including 3 goals and 4 assists while Alex DeBrincat has 7 points with 2 goals and 4 helpers. Connor Murphy and Duncan Keith each have 5 points with Keith logging 5 assists while Murphy has 2 goals and 3 assists on the year. Dylan Strome, Dominik Kubalik and Plus Suter each have 4 points with Suter logging 3 goals while Kubalik has 2 goals and 2 assists and Strome has 3 helpers on the year. Kevin Lankinen’s come out of nowhere as the leader of the goaltending group for Chicago, boasting both of the Blackhawks’ wins with a 2-1 record and a 2.63 GAA this season.

The Nashville Predators will look to bounce back after back-to-back losses to Dallas including a 3-2 loss to the Stars in their last game. Viktor Arvidsson leads the Preds in scoring with 5 points including a team-high 4 assists while Filip Forsberg has a team-high 4 goals this season. Six more Predators each have 2 points on the year to make up the majority of Nashville’s point dispersion this season. Juuse Saros has emerged as the #1 in Nashville’s crease with a 2-2 record and a 3.02 GAA, allowing 11 goals on 116 shots against this season.

Chicago is 5-16 in their last 21 road games and 3-8 in their last 11 games overall while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 Tuesday games. Nashville is 2-5 in their last 7 games overall and 4-1 in their last 5 games as a home favorite while the over is 3-1-1 in their last 5 home games. The over is 8-3-5 in the last 16 meetings between these two teams in Nashville.

Yuck. This is one of the worst games on Tuesday’s card so safe to say there are far better places to put your money than in this game on Tuesday. However, for the sake of a pick, these are two teams that just can’t get out of their own way right now as Nashville’s goaltending isn’t as imposing as the combination of Juuse Saros and Pekka Rinne once were, and Chicago’s goaltending group is just a dumpster fire. I’ll take the over as the offenses should have a field day here.
