Minnesota Wild vs Vegas Golden Knights NHL Picks, Odds, Predictions 3/10/21

The Vegas Golden Knights and the Minnesota Wild meet in NHL action from the Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday night.

The Vegas Golden Knights will look to rebound after their 2-0 loss to Minnesota last time out, snapping their six-game winning streak. Mark Stone leads Vegas in scoring with 27 points including a team-high 21 assists while Max Pacioretty has 21 points with a team-high 12 goals, 9 assists and 95 shots on goal. Alex Tuch’s chipped in 19 points with 12 goals and 7 assists and William Karlsson has 6 goals with 11 assists for his 17 points. Jonathan Marchessault has 16 points with 7 goals and 9 assists while Shea Theodore and Chandler Stephenson each have 14 points with Theodore logging 11 assists and Stephenson logging 7 goals and 7 assists this season. Marc-Andre Fleury continues to see the majority of the action in goal for Vegas, going 12-4 with 4 shutouts and a 1.57 GAA this season.

The Minnesota Wild will look to build on their win over the Golden Knights last time out. Kirill Kaprizov leads the Wild in scoring with 19 points coming on 6 goals and 13 assists while Joel Greenway is right behind with 18 points on 5 goals and 13 assists this season. Marcus Foligno has 15 points with 7 goals and 8 apples and Mats Zuccarello and Joel Eriksson Ek each have 13 points. Jonas Brodin’s got 12 points with 4 goals and 8 assists and Kevin Fiala has 11 points with 8 goals while Zach Parise and Victor Rask each have 10 points on the year. Kaapo Kahkonen continues to make the majority of the starts in goal for Minnesota, going 10-4 with a shutout and a 2.13 GAA while Cam Talbot has a 2.88 GAA with 4 wins in 10 appearances.

Vegas is 39-16 in their last 55 games overall and 4-1 in their last 5 road games while the under is 13-3-1 in their last 17 games against a team with a winning record. Minnesota is 4-0 in their last 4 home games and 5-2 in their last 7 games following a win while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. The favorite is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

Six almost seems to be the magic number with winning streaks in the NHL, as the Wild had a six-game winning streak snapped before snapping Vegas’ streak last time out. With that said, I’m going to hop back on the Golden Knights here, as it’s not often the Knights lose back-to-back games and perennially, this Vegas team is resilient and bounces back quickly. I’m still not 100% sold on the Wild yet, but I’m getting there. Until then, Give me Vegas and lay the cheap price on the road.
