The Vegas Golden Knights and the Dallas Stars meet in NHL action from the American Airlines Center on Wednesday night.

The Vegas Golden Knights come into this game on the heels of a 3-1 win over Colorado on Tuesday. Chandler Stephenson leads the Golden Knights with 6 points including team-highs of 3 goals and 3 assists while Brayden McNabb has 3 assists as well on the year. Robin Lehner has seen the majority of the action between the pipes for the Golden Knights who have struggled on the year, as Lehner is 2-4 with a 3.28 GAA and a .913 save percentage in his six games played.

The Dallas Stars will be looking to rebound from a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Columbus Blue Jackets in their last outing. Miro Heiskanen leads the Dallas Stars with 6 points including team-highs of 2 goals and 4 assists while Radek Faksa has 4 points with a goal and 3 helpers. Ryan Suter also has 3 assists while Tyler Seguin and Michael Raffl each have 2 goals and an assist this season. Braden Holtby has made the bulk of the starts for Dallas in net, going 2-2 with a 2.04 GAA and a .939 save percentage this season.

Vegas is 2-6 in their last 8 road games and 12-27 in their last 39 games as a road underdog while the under is 4-0-2 in their last 6 Wednesday games. Dallas is 5-0 in their last 5 games as a home favorite and 6-1 in their last 7 home games while the under is 5-0-1 in their last 6 games against the Western Conference.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Robin Lehner and Laurent Brossoit might be the worst goaltending tandem among contending teams this season, and as long as Vegas rolls with that pairing, they’ll be contending for ping pong balls for the first time in franchise history. I’m not a huge fan of the Dallas Stars, as this team still looks like they’ve got a hangover from making the cup final a year and a half ago in the bubble, but they’re still a decent defensive team and are worth backing more than Vegas right now. Give me the Stars.
