The Boston Bruins and the Florida Panthers meet in NHL action from the BB&T Center on Wednesday night.

The Boston Bruins come into this game looking to add to their 4-3 win over the San Jose Sharks in their last game. Brad Marchan leads the Bruins with 7 points including team-highs of 4 goals and 3 assists while David Pastrnak has 2 goals and 3 assists for his 5 points. Patrice Bergeron also has 3 assists while Taylor Hall and Jake DeBrusk each have 2 goals for the B’s so far this year. Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman have each made two starts in goal for Boston, with Ullmark going 2-0 with a 2.00 GAA and a .935 save percentage while Swayman has gone 1-1 with a 3.02 GAA and an .885 save percentage.

The Florida Panthers will look to remain perfect on the year after improving to 6-0 with a 5-3 win over Arizona in their last game. Jonathan Huberdeau leads the Panthers with 8 points including a team-high 5 assists while Sam Bennett has a team-high 4 goals with 3 assists for his 7 points. Aleksander Barkov and Aaron Ekblad each have 6 points with Ekblad tied with Huberdeau for the team-high with 3 power play points this year. Anthony Duclair also has 4 goals of his own for Florida this season. Sergei Bobrovsky’s made 4 starts in goal for Florida, going 4-0 with a 1.99 GAA and a .942 save percentage while Spencer Knight has a 2-0 record with a 2.01 GAA and a .923 save percentage this season.

Boston is 1-4 in their last 5 games as an underdog and 1-5 in their last 6 games against the Eastern Conference while the over is 4-0-1 in their last 5 games following a win. Florida is 5-0 in their last 5 games following a win and 20-7 in their last 27 home games while the under is 4-1-1 in their last 6 games playing on 1 day’s rest.

This is probably the best game on the card for Wednesday night as the Bruins have been long entrenched as one of the top teams in the NHL and the Panthers are the up and comers. With that said, the goaltending on both sides is a bit suspect in my opinion as I’m not a Jeremy Swayman or Linus Ullmark guy and both of Florida’s goaltenders have had bumps in the road of their own. With two potent offensive units, I have a sneaking suspicion this one ends up going over the number.
