The St. Louis Blues and the Dallas Stars meet in NHL action from American Airlines Center on Saturday.

The St. Louis Blues come into this game looking to build on their 4-1 win over San Jose last time out. Jordan Kyrou leads the Blues in scoring with 18 points including a team-high 8 goals and 10 assists while Robert Thomas has 16 points with a team-high 14 assists. Vladimir Tarasenko and David Perron each have 14 points with Tarasenko logging 7 goals with 7 assists and Perron chipping in 8 assists as well. Jordan Binnington’s seen the bulk of the work in goal for St. Louis, going 6-4-2 with a 2.83 GAA and a .912 save percentage this season.

The Dallas Stars will try to bounce back from a 7-2 loss at the hands of Minnesota last time out. Miro Heiskanen leads the Stars in scoring with 13 points including a team-high 10 assists while Jason Robertson, Joe Pavelski and Tyler Seguin each have 9 points with Seguin logging a team-high 5 goals while Pavelski has 4 goals with 5 assists and Robertson has 6 assists this season. Ryan Suter and Alexander Radulov each have 6 assists as well on the year. Braden Holtby has a 2-4-1 record with a 2.54 GAA and a .918 save percentage while Anton Khudobin has a 3-3-1 record with a 3.73 GAA and an .873 save percentage this season.

St. Louis is 4-10 in their last 14 games as an underdog and 0-4 in their last 4 games following a win while the under is 20-7 in their last 27 games against a team with a losing record. Dallas is 3-7 in their last 10 games overall and 2-5 in their last 7 games as a favorite while the over is 7-0 in their last 7 games overall.

I’m still trying to piece this line together. Sure, the Strs had been finding the back of the net more regularly as of late, but this is still a Dallas team that’s looked sluggish for much of the season and the St. Louis Blues, albeit mired in a recent slump, are still the better team playing better hockey over the long term. I’ll side with the Blues and the cheap price here.
