The Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators meet in NHL action from the Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday night.

The Montreal Canadiens will look to snap a seven-game losing skid after a 6-3 loss to Philadelphia last time out. Nick Suzuki leads the Habs in scoring with 58 points including 20 goals and 38 assists and Josh Anderson’s posted 18 goals this season. Cole Caufield also has 39 points with 19 goals and 20 assists this season. Jake Allen has seen the majority of the action in goal for Montreal, going 9-20-4 with a 3.29 GAA and a .904 save percentage this season white Sam Montembault has gone 7-17-6 with a 3.78 GAA and an .891 save percentage and Cayden Primeau is 1-7-1 with a 4.88 GAA and an .866 save percentage this season.

The Ottawa Senators will look to build on back-to-back wins after a 2-1 win over Columbus last time out. Brady Tkachuk leads the Sens in scoring with 61 points including 29 goals and 32 assists while Drake Batherson has 41 points with 26 assists and Josh Norris has 52 points with a team-high 33 goals on the year. Tim Stutzle also has 53 points with 20 goals and 33 assists. Anton Forsberg is 19-17-4 with a 2.79 GAA and a .917 save percentage this season for Ottawa in goal.

Montreal is 22-49 in their last 71 road games and 14-38 in their last 52 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 games overall. Ottawa is 1-4 in their last 5 home games and 15-48 in their last 63 games played on no rest while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 games as a favorite.

I get the case to be made for both sides in this game, but I’m looking at the under personally. Montreal’s having issues scoring as of late and the fact that Ottawa is on a back-to-back doesn’t help matters here. I think this is a 2-1 game or even 3-2 but I think it still flies under the total.
