The New York Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins meet in game six of their best of seven NHL playoff matchup in NHL action from the PPG Paints Arena on Friday night.

The New York Rangers will look to force a game seven after pulling a game back to make it a 3-2 series with a 5-3 win over the Pens last time out. Artemi Panarin has a team-high 6 points with 2 goals and 4 assists while Adam Fox and Frank Vatrano each have 4 points with Fox logging 3 goals and a pair of assists while Vatrano has a pair of goals and 3 assists. Andrew Copp has 4 points with 3 goals while Alexis Lafreniere and Chris Kreider each have a pair of goals and a pair of assists. The Pittsburgh Penguins will look to close out the series to take the next step. Sidney Crosby has a team-high 9 points with a team-high 7 assists while Jake Guentzel leads the Penguins with 7 goals. Bryan Rust and Mike Matheson each have 6 points with Rust and Matheson each logging a goal and 5 assists. Louis Domingue looks to be the guy between the pipes for the next few games, with Casey DeSmith and Tristan Jarry both injured. Domingue has gone 3-2 with a .900 save percentage and a 3.56 GAA this postseason.

New York is 2-6 in their last 8 games overall and 1-4 in their last 5 playoff games as a favorite while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 conference quarterfinal games as a favorite. Pittsburgh is 14-5 in their last 19 games as a home underdog and 4-1 in their last 5 games overall while the over is 6-0 in their last 6 games overall.

I get the reasoning for backing either side here, but truth be told, I love the over a lot more. We’ve seen goals, goals and more goals so far in this series and even with so much on the line for both teams, I can’t help but feel like we’re going to see more of the same here. I don’t trust the goaltending for the Penguins and I think Igor Shesterkin’s clearly rattled, so give me the over.
