The St. Louis Blues and the Pittsburgh Penguins meet in NHL action from the PPG Paints Arena on Saturday night.

The St. Louis Blues will look to rebound from a 6-4 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes in their last game. Robert Thomas has a team-high 20 points with 4 goals and 16 assists. Jordan Kyrou has 19 points split between 9 goals and 10 assists and Brayden Schenn has 17 points with 6 goals and 11 assists. Pavel Buchnevich also has 18 points with 11 assists this season. Jordan Binnington’s seen the action in goal for St. Louis up to this point in the season with a record of 9-9 along with a 3.11 GAA and a .899 save percentage this season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will hope to build on a 4-3 win over Vegas from their last game. Sidney Crosby has a team-high 32 points with 12 goals and 20 assists while Evgeni Malkin has 21 points split between 8 goals and 13 assists. Jake Guentzel has also chipped in 23 points with 12 goals and 11 assists this season. Tristan Jarry has gone 9-3-3 with a 2.91 GAA and a .915 save percentage while Casey DeSmith is 3-5-1 with a 3.00 GAA and a .908 save percentage in goal for Pittsburgh this season.

St. Louis is 1-4 in their last 5 games overall and 2-7 in their last 9 games against the Eastern Conference while the over is 10-1-1 in their last 12 games against the Metropolitan division. Pittsburgh is 6-2 in their last 8 games overall and 28-13 in their last 41 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall.

I get the case to be made on either side here, but I’m leaning towards the Penguins. The Blues continue to be a very streaky team and right now it’s not the good kind as they’ve lost 4 of 5 and now take on a Penguins team that’s had their number in the last couple of seasons. All in all, I think this is a decent price for the Pens, so give me Pittsburgh here.
