Claude Giroux also has 29 points with 14 goals of his own and 15 assists while Drake Batherson has 29 points with 10 goals and 19 assists this season. Anton Forsberg’s gone 5-7-2 with a 3.24 GAA and a .908 save percentage while Cam Talbot is 8-7 with a 2.55 GAA and a .916 save percentage this season.
The Winnipeg Jets will try to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken last time out. Ottawa is 11-23 in their last 34 games against the Central division and 4-1 in their last 5 games overall while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record. Winnipeg is 15-5 in their last 20 home games and 18-8 in their last 26 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 home games.
I get the case to be made for either side in this game, but I’m looking at Winnipeg. I just trust the Jets to get the job done. Ottawa’s had a nice run for sure, and they’re going to be a team to watch over the course of the season, but we’re getting a reasonable price with a Jets team that plays their best at home and has a clear goaltending edge in my opinion. I’ll side with the Jets in this one.
