The Buffalo Sabres and the Nashville Predators meet in NHL action from the Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night.

The Buffalo Sabres will try to snap a three-game losing streak after a 4-2 loss to Winnipeg last time out. Tage Thompson has a team-high 57 points with 31 goals and 26 assists while Rasmus Dahlin has 47 points with 13 goals and a team-high 34 assists. Jeff Skinner has 41 points with 17 goals and 24 assists and Alex Tuch has 45 points with 20 goals. Dylan Cozens also has 39 points with 26 assists and Victor Olofsson also has 16 goals this season. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has gone 9-4-1 with a 3.46 GAA and an .893 save percentage while Craig Anderson’s 7-6-1 with a 2.70 GAA and a .921 save percentage so far in goal for Buffalo this season.

The Nashville Predators will look to bounce back from a 4-3 loss to Nashville last time out. Filip Forsberg has 38 points with 18 goals and 20 assists while Mikael Granlund has 25 points with his own 21 assists and Matt Duchene has 32 points with 21 assists on the year. Roman Josi has 33 points with 23 assists and Nino Niederreiter’s also chipped in 13 goals while Ryan Johansen has 9 goals as well on the year. Juuse Saros has gone 15-11-5 with a 2.65 GAA and a .922 save percentage between the pipes for Nashville while Kevin Lankinen is 4-4-1 with a 2.81 GAA and a .918 save percentage.

Buffalo is 7-2 in their last 9 games against a team with a losing record and 6-2 in their last 8 games against the Western Conference while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 Saturday games. Nashville is 2-8 in their last 10 games against the Atlantic division and 0-4 in their last 4 Saturday games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 Saturday games.

I get the reasoning for backing either side here, but I’m leaning towards the under here. Historically, this has been a low-scoring matchup, with five of the last six meetings finishing under the number and while both teams have played their share of high-scoring games as of late, this to me just feels like a first to 3 wins kind of game. Give me the under here.
