The Calgary Flames and the Winnipeg Jets meet in NHL action from the Canada Life Centre on Tuesday night.

The Calgary Flames will look to build on back-to-back wins after a 3-2 win over Vancouver in their last matchup. Elias Lindholm leads the Flames in scoring with 34 points including 12 goals and 22 assists while Tyler Toffoli has 30 points with 15 goals and 15 assists and Jonathan Huberdeau has 25 points with 18 assists. Nazem Kadri also has 29 points split between 14 goals and 15 assists this season. Jacob Markstrom’s gone 12-9-4 with a 2.78 GAA and an .895 save percentage while Dan Vladar is 6-4-3 with a 2.83 GAA and a .905 save percentage between the pipes for Calgary this season.

The Winnipeg Jets will try to build on a 2-1 win over Edmonton from their last matchup. Josh Morrissey leads Winnipeg with 36 assists as part of his 42 points while Pierre-Luc Dubois has 40 points split between 17 goals and 23 assists. Kyle Connor has 43 points with 16 goals and 27 assists while Blake Wheeler has 26 points with 9 goals and 17 assists. Mark Scheifele also has a team-high 23 goals as well this season. Connor Hellebuyck has gone 18-9-1 with a 2.32 GAA and a .928 save percentage while David Rittich is 5-4 with a 2.61 GAA and an .906 save percentage between the pipes for Winnipeg this season.

Calgary is 4-1 in their last 5 road games and 6-2 in their last 8 games after allowing 2 goals or less in the previous game while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall. Winnipeg is 24-8 in their last 32 games against a team with a losing record and 17-6 in their last 23 home games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record.

I get the case to be made across the board here, but I’m backing the under, mainly because these two teams have been trending to the under a fair bit as of late and the goaltending has really stepped it up as well on both sides. The under’s been a common trend when these two lock up and I look for this game to be no different. Give me the under here.
