Boston Bruins vs Dallas Stars 10/25/22 NHL Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Dallas Stars and the Boston Bruins meet in NHL action from the TD Garden on Tuesday night.

The Dallas Stars will try to find some consistency after alternating wins and losses in each of their last four games, suffering their first regulation loss of the year after a 4-2 loss to Ottawa last time out. Entering Monday’s game, Joe Pavelski, Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson each have a team-high 7 points, with Hintz and Robertson each logging a team-high 5 assists while Pavelski has a team-high 4 goals this season. Mason Marchment’s got 6 points with 3 goals and 3 assists and Tyler Seguin’s posted 5 points with a pair of goals and 3 assists as well this season. Jake Oettinger’s gone 4-0 with a 1.25 GAA and a .959 save percentage while Scott Wedgewood is 0-0-1 with a 2.83 GAA and a .930 save percentage in goal for the Stars so far this season.

The Boston Bruins will look to build on back-to-back wins after a 4-3 OT win over Minnesota last time out to improve to 5-1. David Pastrnak has 10 points with team-highs of 4 goals and 6 assists while David Krejci has 7 points with 5 assists. Patrice Bergeron’s got 6 points split between 3 goals and 3 assists while A.J. Greer, Jake DeBrusk and Taylor Hall each have 5 points with Greer and Hall logging 3 goals apiece while DeBrusk has a pair of goals and 3 assists. Linus Ullmark’s gone 4-0 with a 2.23 GAA and a .929 save percentage while Jeremy Swayman’s gone 1-1 with a 5.41 GAA and an .816 save percentage this season.

Dallas is 7-3 in their last 10 games against the Atlantic division and 3-7 in their last 10 road games while the under is 3-0-2 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record. Boston is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall and 44-18 in their last 62 home games while the over is 11-2-1 in their last 14 games overall.

I get the reasoning for backing Dallas in this game with the plus money, but the problem is that Boston has just been really good at home and aren’t a team I’m looking to step in front of with Dallas on the second half of a back-to-back. This is just a bad spot for the Stars so I’ll back the Bruins and the reasonable price at home in this one.
