Chicago Blackhawks vs Pittsburgh Penguins 11/20/22 NHL Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks meet in NHL action from the United Center on Sunday.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will look to build on their 3-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets last time out. Sidney Crosby has a team-high 23 points with 9 goals and 14 assists while Evgeni Malkin has 19 points split between 7 goals and 12 assists. Jake Guentzel has also chipped in 16 points with a team-high 10 goals and 7 assists this season. Tristan Jarry has gone 6-3-2 with a 3.60 GAA and an .895 save percentage while Casey DeSmith is 2-4-1 with a 2.86 GAA and a .910 save percentage in goal for Pittsburgh this season.

The Chicago Blackhawks will hope to snap a three-game losing skid after their 6-1 loss to Boston last time out. Patrick Kane leads Chicago with 13 points coming with a team-high 11 assists while Jonathan Toews has 11 points with a team-high 8 goals. Max Domi also has 12 points with 4 goals and 8 assists as well this season. Petr Mrazek has gone 1-3-1 with a 3.16 GAA and an .889 save percentage while Alex Stalock is 3-2-1 with a 2.93 GAA and a .914 save percentage in goal for Chicago this season.

Pittsburgh is 4-9 in their last 13 games overall and 0-5 in their last 5 games playing on no rest while the over is 18-8 in their last 26 games overall. Chicago is 1-5 in their last 6 home games and 1-8 in their last 9 Sunday games while the over is 8-3 in their last 11 games played on no rest.

I get the reasoning for backing either side in this game, but I’m looking at the over here. I don’t trust either set of goaltenders as far as I can throw them and Pittsburgh’s started to find some semblance of offense in their recent games. On the other side, Chicago is capable of potting a couple goals themselves and I just think this game is marked for goals. Give me the over here.
