Stars Win Wild One In Opener

Mikko Rantanen opened the scoring for Dallas just 3:15 into the game but Winnipeg would equalize just 3:04 later before Nile Lundkvist would restore Dallas’ lead with just under five minutes to go in the opening frame. The 2-1 lead would hold through the second period and into the third where Jason Robertson and Tyler Seguin would score :34 apart to push the lead to 4-1 and Wyatt Johnston added another 1:48 later to make it 5-1. Winnipeg would make things interesting with three unanswered goals later in the third, but that’s as close as they would get as Dallas would slam the door shut in the end for the W. Dallas Stars vs. Colorado Avalanche Prediction

I’m on the Avalanche here. I just think it’s a solid spot for the Avalanche in a revenge spot and the Avs, especially Nathan MacKinnon, were not happy with how their playoff run ended last season and I think the Avs come out for blood once again here. The Stars got the win in their opener, but if I’m being honest, I wasn’t impressed with the defensive showing late in that game as Dallas almost gave it away and I think the Avs get it done at home here. Give me Colorado.
